Home Tips for Fall
~Reverse Ceiling Fans (Energy Savings) If you followed my summer tip for your Fan its now time to ~
Flipping your ceiling fans to clockwise mode helps circulate WARM AIR Down into living spaces. This small adjustment can make your Westport home feel warmer and may cut heating costs during chilly South Coast nights.
When to expect Peak Fall Foliage: With the shorter days and Temperatures expected to drop it will peak in the Coming Weeks in our Area
Westport Pretty places to view nice fall foliage Forge Pond Conservation Area, where you can see colors reflected on the pond, and the Herb Hadfield Conservation Area, known for its variety of fall-colored trees like red maple and beech. You can also enjoy beautiful views of farms and the coast by driving along scenic backroads such as Drift Road, River Road, and Horseneck Road.
For fall foliage in Dartmouth, MA, head to nature reserves like Cornell Farm and the Frank Knowles/Little River Reserve for boardwalks and bridges offering views of crimson maples, or explore the trails at the Allens Pond Wildlife Sanctuary and the Lloyd Center for the Environment to see colorful woodlands. Other options include hiking at Ridge Hill Reserve or walking through the woods at Destruction Brook Woods.
Tiverton, RI Fall Foliage: If this season is similar to the past you can see A bright flush of fall foliage along Route 77 in Tiverton. Look for fall foliage at Fort Barton Woods, known for its trails, waterfall, and historical remains, or visit Pachet Brook Tree Farm for hayrides through decorated fields and woods.
Late September: Peak color begins in the northernmost parts of New England, including northern Maine, Vermont, and New Hampshire.
Early-to-Mid October: Foliage moves south into Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut.
Mid-to-Late October: Southern coastal areas, such as coastal Maine, generally reach their peak later in the month.
